TRB BIKE TOUR KYOTO / INFORMATION & POLICIES
Terms & Conditions
Important participation requirements and safety rules for our guided Kyoto cycling tours.
1. Tour services
TRB Bike Tour Kyoto offers guided bicycle and e-bike tours through Kyoto, Japan. Our signature Kyoto Main Tour operates in both the morning and afternoon, following the same carefully designed route through the city's historic landmarks, scenic streets, and cultural highlights. We also offer Private Tours for groups seeking a more exclusive experience and Customized Tours tailored to individual interests, preferences, and travel plans. Discover Kyoto at your own pace with our local guides.
2. Participant eligibility
To join a tour, participants must:
- Be 12 years of age or older.
- Be at least 150 cm tall.
- Weigh less than 104 kg.
- Be able to ride a bicycle independently and safely on public roads.
- Be able to understand and follow the guide’s safety instructions.
These tours are not suitable for pregnant participants, people who cannot ride a bicycle, or people with back or lower-back problems.
3. Riding safety
The guide may ask participants to demonstrate basic cycling skills before departure, including starting, steering, braking, and stopping. Participants must obey Japanese traffic rules and follow the guide’s instructions.
Participation may be refused when safety requirements are not met or instructions are repeatedly ignored. Where refusal results from a guest’s failure to meet clearly disclosed eligibility or safety requirements, a refund is not available, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
4. Arrival and no-shows
Arrive at least 15 minutes before the scheduled tour start time. Guests who are not present by the start time are treated as no-shows and are not eligible for a refund or rescheduling.
5. Bicycles and equipment
The bicycle or e-bike provided depends on the option booked. Please use all equipment responsibly, follow the guide’s instructions, and report any malfunction or damage promptly. Repair costs may be charged where damage is caused by a participant, depending on the circumstances and applicable law.
6. Conduct
Riding under the influence of alcohol or drugs, dangerous cycling, littering, and smoking during the tour are prohibited.
7. Weather and itinerary changes
Light rain does not necessarily prevent a tour from operating. Routes and stops may change due to weather, traffic, congestion, or local conditions. If we cancel because conditions are unsafe, guests may reschedule or receive a full refund.
8. Booking and payment
Direct website bookings are paid in full at the time of reservation. Payments are processed through Square. Available card brands are Visa, Mastercard, American Express, JCB, Diners Club, and Discover, subject to payment acceptance at checkout.
9. Cancellation
